David Fonseca, Incubator Manager for the Innovation Center at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi has served over 135 clients in the last 5 years. He is a certified coach in the WKI and Growth Wheel models. Fonseca was invited to present the Innovation Center’s model at the 2016 EDA National Conference. He completed the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA) Incubator Management Certificate Program, and served on an EDA task force to improve the reporting process for University Centers. Fonseca is a board member of the InBIA, which has more than 2,100 members across more than 60 countries. In his four years with the InBIA, Fonseca has presented at events in the USA, Denmark, Mexico, and Russia. He was one of the InBIA judges for the best global mix use incubator. Fonseca co-founded and served on the board of directors for the Young Business Professionals and the Colombian Student Association. He has also been on the board of and served as the coordinator for a Regional Innovation Competition. Recently, Fonseca developed a program sponsored by the State Department “La Idea Incubator Program”, which offered two weeks of best practices in manufacturing and of doing business in the United States and internationally.
