Idalia “Charly” Leuze previously served as the Director of the West Central Integration Collaborative an 8 school district consortium that focused on enhancing the quality of life for all community residents by developing multicultural and culturally competent school and community projects that worked to promote inclusiveness, healthy youth development, and economic growth. Charly has over 20 years experience in cultural competency policy development and has assisted many organizations in the development of cultural competency plans that have generated action and obtained results. While she has worked expensively locally, statewide, nationally, and world-wide promoting cultural proficiency, she has also worked for the last year as Executive Director for the Willmar Area Multicultural Market Business Center promoting ethnic business growth and expansion in rural Minnesota. Charly has made a name for herself as a Cultural expert in Minnesota. In 2005, her cultural work was featured on “NBC News with Bryan Williams. Also, in 2007 she participated in an education delegation to Beijing, China, where partnerships were brokered and her agency was instrumental in the development of the Mandarin Chinese Language program at the Willmar Senior High School. Charly has an understanding of maximizing the cultural and racial equity message through clear and impactful communication.
