Jeanne Shaw is a non-profit organization management professional whose expertise has helped produced housing and economic development projects throughout the Central and Western regions of the United States. Her technical assistance and capacity building services have helped nonprofit organizations develop housing, economic and community development projects, renewable energy facilities, loan funds, small business programs, job creation strategies, job training and employment programs.
Believing that housing is the foundation for progress in all people’s lives, she has developed, managed or provided technical expertise to produce hundreds of rental and homeownership projects in urban and rural communities that serve self-help homebuyers, farm workers, seniors, developmentally disabled adults, veterans and other low income households.
Through her experience, she has learned that the commitment of people and communities are the most important elements needed to nurture and grow community assets; that without one, you cannot successfully have the other. She has helped develop several regional consortiums, leveraging assets to secure a wide variety of financial resources.
Ms. Shaw has more than fifteen years experience serving in executive management roles at small and large nonprofit organizations, and has served as guest speaker and instructor at numerous conferences representing the interests of urban and rural nonprofit organizations.
