Juana D. Mejia has over 20 years of property and asset management experience. Juana has extensive experience and has held positions such as Property Manager, Regional Manager, Management Company Director, Asset Manager, trainer and consultant for a number of Non-Profit organizations.
Juana is the owner of JDM Consulting Services and is the V.P. of Housing Development and Operations for Catholic Housing Management a Ministry of the Archdiocese of Miami where she oversees 16 Low Income subsidized properties with over 2,400 units and 100 employees throughout Broward and Miami Dade Counties.
Juana’s employer’s and consulting clients have included: Urban Edge, GMN, Banyan, NeighborWorks of America, TAG Associates, District of Columbia Housing Enterprise, Newark Housing Authority, Cambridge (MA) Housing Authority, Del Norte Management (Denver, CO), Alamo Mutual Housing Association (San Antonio TX), Durham (NC) Community Land Trust, Hawaii CDC, Consortium for Housing and Asset Management (CHAM), Enterprise Community Partners and other nonprofits.
Juana is also an instructor of asset management courses for NeighborWorks America, CHAM and LISC.
Juana is a graduate of the Emerging Leaders Program in the University of Massachusetts. Juana is also fluently bilingual (English/Spanish), and holds several professional certifications, including Certified Financial Manager (CFM) from the National Center for Housing Management, Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), CPM Candidate from the Institute of Real Estate Management, Nonprofit Housing Management Specialist (NHMS) from the Consortium for Housing and Asset Management and Tax Credit Housing Certification (C3P). Juana lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
