Karla Henriquez is the Programs Coordinator at Mission Asset Fund (MAF). MAF is on a mission to create a fair financial marketplace for hardworking families, through the Lending Circles program, Lending Circles provides a zero-interest loan to help participants build credit and access an affordable, small dollar loan. Karla oversees the enrollment and eligibility of members in MAF’s Lending Circle programs. Karla also conducts the monthly financial education course, on-on-one credit review with clients and also connects families with resources needed. Through the use of technology, Karla has been able to connect to members throughout California and guide them through the Lending Circle application process.
Karla previously worked at BAHIA, Inc., A bilingual child care program in Berkeley, CA as an Administrative Assistance to oversee the enrollment and subsidized eligibility of families in the program.
Before that, Karla worked as a research assistant for different studies through the Cesar Chavez Institute at San Francisco State University and Through the Nutricion y Salud en La Familia at the University of California, San Francisco. Karla Graduated in 2012 from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Latina/o Studies. Karla currently sits on Univision’s Consumidor Al Dia committee.
