Natalia Chaves is a Program Assistant at the National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB). Natalia supports the Small Business Development program through grants management and by providing technical assistance to NALCAB Members. She also assists with the event planning, development of content and implementation of the NALCAB Colegio Fellowship and the NALCAB National Training.
Before joining NALCAB, Natalia worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Innovation Center, a mixed-use business incubator of Texas A&M University Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC). She helped early stage innovative companies to explore the potential of commercialization in the market place, assisted with feasibility studies, grants research, website audits, and business modeling.
Natalia holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), in Management, both degrees with scholarships at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She was born and raised in Popayan, Colombia and came to the U.S. in August 2010. Natalia is former president of the PorColombia Chapter at TAMU-CC, which assists a foundation for children with special needs in her country, and supports fundraising events for people in Colombia.
